The legal maze of cannabis, CBD and psychedelics: keys to understanding the present and future regulatory landscape
A reflection on the legal framework that regulates cannabis, CBD and psychedelic substances in Spain and internationally. Recent legislative advances, current judicial affairs and pending challenges for effective regulation of these compounds will be analyzed. The session will address the situation of medicinal cannabis, industrial hemp and the commercialization of CBD products, as well as the growing debate about the legality and therapeutic potential of psychedelic substances. The session combines legal analysis with reflection on future public policies in this field of constant legal and social evolution.
Héctor Brotons
Lawyer specialized in criminal and administrative law, founder and director of Estudio Jurídico Brotsanbert, with more than twenty years of outstanding experience in the field. He advises associations, companies and institutions on cannabis, CBD, industrial hemp and psychedelic substances. He is spokesperson for the OECCC and legal adviser to various recognized organizations and associations in the sector. He has participated in legislative reforms and international forums on cannabis regulation. Coauthor of several works, he combines daily legal practice with outreach and research.
Raúl del Pino
Studied Psychology at UNED. His great passion has been altered states of consciousness and psychedelics as tools for personal growth. In 1996 he created the first Spanish-language website dedicated to drugs. He is currently responsible for the digital area of the Hemp Fair.
