Jorge Quintas

Professor of Criminology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto. Among other things, he teaches the subject of “Drugs and criminal issues”.

Author of “Regulação legal das drogas: impactos da experiência portuguesa da descriminalização” (Legal regulation of drugs: effects of the Portuguese decriminalization experience), and of several articles in various languages about the drugs, their policies, the impacts of legislation, the law enforcement, the attitudes of the populations and the regulatory and disincentive effects of the laws.

He is also interested in topics such as forensic evaluation, rehabilitation of offenders and security.
