The Regulación Responsable platform will review the political advocacy work it is carrying out in Spain. In addition, the lawyer Bernardo Soriano will give a talk on the status of the appeals against the rulings handed down by the Supreme Court (Tribunal Supremo), which are already being processed by the Constitutional Court (Tribunal Constitucional).

Mujerescannabicas.org is a working platform of the Nationwide Network of Anti-Prohibitionist Women in the Field of Drugs (Red Estatal de Mujeres Antiprohibicionistas en el Ámbito de las Drogas, REMA) in its struggle for fairer and more efficient drug policies that incorporate a gender perspective and the fight against inequality in so-called cannabis culture.

Marihuana Televisión was born as an audiovisual response to the indifference of the mainstream media and institutions towards covering the different aspects of cannabis culture in a dignified and pluralistic manner. Set up by a team of professionals from journalism, the audiovisual media and the cannabis world, since June 2012 it has produced the monthly programme Marihuana Televisión News, a benchmark television-format news programme in the Spanish-speaking world. Marihuana Televisión is an online television channel without borders, a leader in the sector, the channel of cannabis culture.

In an information landscape dominated by large media and financial groups, communication initiatives are emerging that are based on the use of technologies capable of connecting with specialist audiences. There are more and more initiatives of this kind, and among them we would highlight those based on television models.

Cannabis and pornography have been used since time immemorial to satisfy our sexuality and to treat problems related to it. The round table will analyse research on cannabis and sexuality, its traditional uses in this field and the role of pornography in today’s society.

Have you ever wondered why cannabis is associated with reggae? Why do youth cultures tend to alter consciousness? How do we fit cannabis culture together with music and counterculture? We will answer these and many other questions in a round table where we will play the tune of cannabis in a cultural key.

The Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum manages and exhibits a unique collection of more than 12,000 objects related to every aspect of the cannabis plant. The collection is divided between two venues: a canal house in the centre of Amsterdam and a Modernista palace in Barcelona.

Together with three hemp specialists, we delve into the past, present and future of cannabis, to highlight the usefulness of this plant throughout history and how we could use it to improve our world today and tomorrow.

In this lecture, Héctor Brotons will analyse the latest Supreme Court rulings on CSCs from the perspective of the fundamental rights recognised in the Constitution and in the relevant international texts. This issue has been an important part of the appeal for constitutional protection (recurso de amparo) lodged against the judgment convicting the pioneering Pannagh Association, in which the speaker led a multidisciplinary team and which makes it clear that, in the light of the texts cited and of public health, CSCs that meet certain requirements cannot be convicted.

The Spanish Medical Cannabis Observatory (Observatorio Español de Cannabis Medicinal, OECM) was founded in October 2015 out of the need to promote, coordinate and carry out activities and projects aimed at furthering knowledge of the medicinal properties and uses of cannabis and its derivatives. It also seeks to advise public and private bodies and to inform institutions, the media and civil society about current knowledge on cannabis, based on the results of scientific studies and clinical trials.
