Introduction of the novel Doctor X: The Doctor of the Dark Net

Dr. Fernando Caudevilla has been a collaborator of our magazine for more than fifteen years. Under the nickname of DoctorX, he has done most of his work as an online drug counselor. The writers Jose Angel Mañas and Jordi Ledesma have turned their adventures into a novel in Doctor X: The Doctor of the Dark Net (La Esfera de los Libros, 2024). A story about drug markets, bitcoins, unbridled sex, electronic music and secret agents in which reality surpasses fiction.

In This conference, we will talk about the history of the use of cannabis in animals in different regions of the world, and why it works as medicine. Generic issues of the endocannabinoid system in animals, application methods and everyday clinical diseases in which medicinal cannabis is most used will also be discussed, as well as our experience in the use of cannabis in companion animals.

Euskadi Euskadi is, without a doubt, one of the territories of Spanish, where cannabis culture is most deeply rooted and normalized. At a political level, different initiatives have been developed for more than a decade regarding the regulation of Associations of Cannabis Users, although there is still much to do. In this interview, we will analyze the progress made during these years and the existing expectations to offer legal support and greater legal security to these entities.

In this talk we will explore recent and future changes in drug legislation, extending from the international context to the particularities of regulation in the Basque Country. The central focus of the presentation will be the analysis of the new paradigms that are shaping these legislations, specifically advances in human rights and reduction of risks and pleasure management strategies.

Spanish paradox
This conference will discuss the paradox of Spain, increasingly reticent to regulate cannabis in the face of European advances in this matter, some notes on the efforts to reform the gag law and other changes proposed for this legislature.

The use of THC in the veterinary field

In this talk there will be a summary of the medicinal properties of THC in animals. The recommended amount of THC that can be used will also be discussed. In addition, we will talk about what exactly “full spectrum” medicinal oil is in veterinary medicine, whether THC can be toxic in animals and our experience in the use of THC in companion animals when it comes to addressing different common diseases in the field.
